Marketing Analyst
My client a leader in data driven and direct marketing is looking for a SAS Marketing Analyst to work with one of their major automotive clients.
Key requirements:-
Numerate degree
Confident user of SAS
Some exposure to segmentation and modelling
Experience in writing presentations
Excellent Client facing experience
Coherent written and verbal communication skills

The candidate will undertake statistical analysis across the full customer management cycle driving Insight and strategy for this client.
As a member of the analytical team, the job-holder can expect to get involved with the following types of activities:-
Loading customer data from various sources into SAS, converting and pre-processing the data ready for analysis.
Running and maintaining Insight/Campaign reporting on a monthly basis
Answering Ad Hoc queries for different business teams
Data analysis using all types of statistical techniques & modelling tools.
Preparing data for, and developing scoring and other regression based models.
Interpreting data and explaining the results of analysis to internal customers.
Presenting data in tabular, chart & graph form using Excel/PowerPoint.
EXPERIENCE
Essential:
Knowledge of statistical software, in particular SAS.
Must have a sound understanding of basic statistics and be able to explain basic statistical terms to non-technical marketers.
PC literate with working knowledge of Office, must be proficient in excel.
A self starter, able to work on own initiative, yet contribute and work within a team.
Imaginative but practical approach to problem solving.
Desirable:
A passion for cars, and an interest in marketing issues.
Experience of any of the following:
o Response analysis, targeting models, direct mail campaign evaluation.
o Spreadsheet modelling, time series/trend analysis.
o CHAID analysis, profiling & segmentation.
o Development of cross-sell, propensity, retention/attrition models.
o Statistical analysis in a non-academic environment
